Ζanneio Experimental Junior High School(or Zanneio Peiramatiko Gymnasio) is partner to the KA2 (Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good Practices- Strategic Partnerships for school education) Erasmus+ project “Europa: ti vedo e ti vivo” (2016-1-ΙΤ02-ΚΑ201-024417).
“Europa: ti vedo e ti vivo” aims to promote the understanding of EU values: peace, freedom, democracy, dialogue, equality, solidarity, secularism. The project regards that students and teachers, seek and inquire the socio-political structure of the EU, to understand its history and how, declared values and goals are pursued by institutions and organs.
To make live and deep the search path, students work primarily on contemporaneity, on the EU's values, then they turn to discover the profound way that such values have made over time throughout their countries.
By the end of the project, students will be able to:
- Know and understand the European integration process through the resources of the EU's historical archives (recent memory)
- Know and understand the formation of the idea of citizenship in their own country, from experiences traced in time (deep memory).
The project connects secondary and primary schools in France, Greece, Italy, Romania, Spain. The project involves a network of schools in Florence (Istituto Comprehensivo Boticelli, Istituto Comprensivo Statale ‘Compagni-Carducci’, L'Istituto Statale di Istruzione Superiore “Niccolò Machiavelli”, Il Liceo “Guido Castelnuovo”) with Istituto di Istruzione Secondaria Superiore ‘Giuseppe Peano’ being the project coordinator. Apart from the Italian schools, other schools participating in the project are: Le Lycée André Malraux (Biarritz, France), Colegiul National Grigore Moisil (Onesti, Romania) and Instituto de Educación Secundaria (IES) SERPIS (Valencia, Spain).
Crucial in the project are the partner institutions that accompany the schools in this path: The European Historical Archives and the Opera of Santa Croce in Florence.
